Hi Everyone,

I've set up our February field trip at Discovery Gateway. I've attached the confirmation email from my reservation. I was not certain the number of siblings that would be joining us, so I estimated our number at 15. You are welcome to invite someone along if you would like, this is a great opportunity to visit at a great price. Children are 3.25 each and adults are free. Please email me with the number of kids you are bringing so I can adjust our reservation as needed.

There is a two hour time limit for our visit, so please try to arrive five minutes early. Park in the Winter Parking Lot. They gave out validations last time but I'm not sure if they still do that. I'll check and let you know next week.

We are required to pay in one transaction, so please bring cash, exact change if you can. I will do the collection while we get set up.

There is a food court at gateway if anyone is interested in staying for lunch after. Thanks for letting me teach your kids, I look forward to exploring with you and them!

Black Island Farms Field Trip

We have been invited by another preschool in our neighborhood (Michelle Ormsby) to go to Black Island Farms. If we have 15 or more kids, there is a special disount on field trips. Each child is $3.50 and adults are free. If you are carrying a baby, they are free as well. Feel free to bring other siblings. First Day of Preschool

Hello Everyone! I've meant to post these pictures for a while, but here they are. Feel free to copy them if you'd like. You can also share pictures here if you would like. You can post them if you have an account, or you can e-mail me and i'll post them for you.

I hope your kids are having as great a time at preschool as mine is! He can't wait to go each week! I think most of the kids feel the same way! Don't we have the cutest preschool group?!!

Preschool Kick-off Party

When: The first day of preschool (September 3rd) from 10:30 to 12:30

Where: Chelsie Park Bowery

Why: For our little preschool friends to get to know one another better

What: We will be eating lunch and playing "get to know you" games

RSVP: Please comment here and sign up for a food assignment

Potluck Choices: Chips, Veggies, Fruit, Drink, Treat, Paper Products, etc... or anything else you want to bring. I'm sure we won't starve.

Chelsie Park Preschool

• Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (September through May)
• Each member will take a month to teach and a month to be a helper to another member.
• The first 3 weeks of the month will be at a members home and the 4th will be a field trip (tenatively)
• Each week we will teach new letters (and sounds) and numbers
• Each month we will focus on a new shape and color

As it gets closer, I'll attempt to get a packet together with a calendar, daily schedule, contact information, etc... Thanks!

I hope you were all as excited as I was after our meeting in the park. We have a great group of both kids and moms and I know we're going to have a really fun (and of course educational) time!

I've started this blog as a means for communicating information and such. The schedule will be found here for the year as well as any updates that you would like to share. If you are planning a field trip and need to provide information...this would be a great place to share it. I will send everyone an e-mail inviting you to be a member of this blog. This means that when you sign in with your google account, you may post any information you would like. You could also call me and have me post it for you....either way. As of now, our blog is not private. If you think that we should make it that way, please comment and let me know.

We are still in the early stages of forming a neighborhood preschool, so I thought that I would take some time to explore different resources available. I hope that this preschool will not only be a benefit to the children but also to moms in providing new ideas and ways to teach our kids!
